After John Hutchings left the band the task of organisation was done by our banjo player, Mike Jones.  In a previous musical life Mike had been in the pop group "The Settlers" and his great speciality was to sing toe-tapping medleys of skiffle songs - something that made the band unique. Unhappily Mike became seriously ill in July 2005 and had to give up playing completely. From then on the organisation has been split between Pete Bradley, who did the bookings, and Dave Martin, who did the day to day organisation.

In 2003 we recorded our first CD "Good times with City Steam". Included in the line-up was Ron Milford, who had replaced John Hutchings on trombone, and who stayed with us for the next four years.
