How on earth did the band get its name?
Strangely enough after a laundry that used to exist in Exeter. When the band was being formed we were searching for a catchy name. The drummer used to carry the metal bits of his drum kit around in two old laundry boxes which he had found at the recycling centre. On the boxes was written "City Steam Laundry" - and the name stuck - minus the laundry bit.
